About Richard

Welcome to Gretna Green Wedding Rings, I am Richard a jewellery designer working from my studio workshops close to the Scottish border.

My love for jewellery started from a young age in my local family business, polishing charm bracelets from age 13, yes I don’t think it would be allowed these days. My dad was a silver hand engraver and I guess something rubbed off on me. I went to Sheffield City Polytechnic and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery and then went on to gain a gemstone diploma becoming a qualified gemologist. I was an early adopter of the internet and was selling Gretna Green wedding rings online in 1998. 

Today I specialise in wedding bands and engagement ring inspired by the mountains and coastline that is so close by. My work is made from gold, silver and precious gemstones.
