The handmade Scottish Thistle wedding rings are made specially for couples getting married in Scotland or who have a Scottish connection.

Both the 3mm and 4mm rings are made on a heavy court 18ct yellow gold band.
These rings are made to order and I usually require around three weeks for producing them.

Shipping After Items have been made they are usually delivered within 1 to 2 days in the UK or 7 to 14 days outside the UK by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Due to COVID19 shipping may be longer outside the UK.
An email is sent to you when your item is posted with a tracking number so you can check its progress.

Q: Do you deliver to any country in the world.
A: I have delivered to many countries over the years and may send to yours. Just contact me for shipping charges.
Q: How quickly can you make your wedding rings.
A: Classic and our Gretna Green rings can be done in about two weeks. Diamond set can be rushed in around three to four weeks. If you need something quick the best idea is to contact me first before placing your order. The ideal way is to order your rings two months before to give you time to check them and the sizing. Q: Do you have rings ready to collect in your workshop.
A: Unfortunately at this time I am unable to offer an engraving service.
Q:Do you put your designs on other jewellery or convert other rings.
A: I am often asked this and it always surprises me. My designs are all original and elements of them i.e. the Anvil or Scottish designs are only available by ordering the rings made in my workshop. I also do not alter jewellery made by other manufacturers to look like my designs. If you like my work you can buy it here.
Q: Do you Replicate Other Jewellery.
A: I do not copy other jewellery, I only make my own designs.
Q: Do you do Jewellery repair work.
A:This is not something I do. I get asked quite a few times from people living locally but I am too busy working on my own jewellery. Your best option is to visit one of the town centre jewellers with your broken item.

Welcome to Gretna Green Wedding Rings, I am Richard Harris a jewellery designer working from my studio workshops close to the Scottish border and the historic Hadrians Wall.
My career started over 25 years ago in my local family business after gaining a jewellery degree and gemstone diploma with the first website going online in 1998 making handmade jewellery. My own business Cumbrian Designs was launched in 2016.
Today I make the Gretna Green rings as well as other original wedding bands and engagement rings inspired by the lakes, fells and coastline that surround me. My work is made from gold, platinum, silver and precious gemstones.
Its great to have a career that I enjoy, and more importantly It keeps me sane after clearing the mess my two teenage children are always making.

Most items are made to order and take two to four weeks to make and delivery after the item is finished is usually one to two days in the UK.
During December delivery can be up to six weeks. Please check before ordering if you are needing your rings for Christmas or New Year times.
Outside the UK delivery after the item is finished is usually 7 to 14 days but can be longer with COVID19 delays.
